Kenya

UPDATE: PLEASE DO NOT MESSAGE UNLESS YOU ARE A QUALIFIED ACTUARY. THE FIGURES HAVE ALREADY BEEN CALCULATED BY A TOP ACCOUNTANT AND I NEED AN ACTUARY JUST TO SIGN OFF ON IT. THANK YOU.
I am looking for a qualified UK-based actuary to provide a quick review and verification of my existing financial loss calculations for a legal compensation claim. The calculations, based on publicly available actuarial tools and standard pension/salary progression data, have already been completed.
Your role is simply to:
- Review the calculations for accuracy (lost earnings, pension growth, and investment returns).
- Confirm that the actuarial assumptions are reasonable and align with UK pension standards.
- Provide a short verification statement confirming that the methodology and figures are sound.
This will be used in a legal claim against the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and I need a professional actuary’s confirmation to strengthen the case.
Requirements:
- Must be UK-based and familiar with UK pension schemes (TPS) and salary progression models.
- Qualified actuary (FIA, ASA, FSA, or equivalent).
- Experience with pension loss calculations, salary projections, or employment-related claims.
- Ability to provide a short, signed written verification statement.
Deliverables:
- A brief signed verification letter confirming the validity of my calculations.
- Optional: Minor refinements or suggested improvements to methodology if needed.
Budget & Timeframe:
- Budget: £50 (negotiable based on experience).
- Estimated Time Commitment: 1-2 hours max (as all the calculations are already done).
- Delivery Deadline: Within 3-5 days but I can wait up to a month.
I essentially have done it all myself and it's been looked at by an accountant who has confirmed everything is correct based on the TPS annual pension statement I have provided.
How to Apply:
Please include:
1. Actuarial qualifications/relevant experience if it's not listed on your profile.
2. A brief outline of how you would verify the calculations, how long it would take/cost.
3. Any clarifications needed before proceeding.
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from someone who can provide quick verification of the existing calculations.
