We are enhancing a Windows-based scientific image capture and rendering platform that serves researchers and professionals in various scientific fields including medical imaging, materials science, and laboratory research. The platform features a Rust-powered backend for high-performance image processing combined with a modern React frontend to deliver an intuitive user experience. Our development focus includes optimizing existing image analysis algorithms, implementing new pattern recognition and morphological analysis features, and modernizing the user interface components for improved workflow efficiency. The project involves collaborative development through GitHub, ensuring robust version control and team coordination. We aim to leverage Rust's memory safety and computational speed advantages while creating seamless integration between the backend processing engine and the responsive React-based user interface.
