About Angaza Center

Angaza Technology Literacy Center (Angaza Center) is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the economic circumstances of young girls and boys in rural African communities. We believe that every student, regardless of their social or economic circumstances, deserves access to the transformative power of technology. Angaza Center focuses on closing the digital divide by providing technology access and digital literacy to empower students in rural African secondary schools. Our mission is to enable these students to fully participate in the digital world, thereby improving their economic and social circumstances.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership Development

oIdentify, cultivate, and secure strategic partnerships with corporate, government, foundation, and nonprofit stakeholders.

oDevelop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy aligned with Angaza Center's mission and goals.

oLead negotiations and manage partnership agreements, ensuring mutual benefit and alignment with organizational objectives.

Relationship Management

oMaintain and strengthen relationships with existing partners, ensuring ongoing engagement and satisfaction.

oServe as the primary point of contact for key partners, providing regular updates on program impact and opportunities for collaboration.

Fundraising and Resource Mobilization

oWork closely with the fundraising team to identify and secure funding opportunities from diverse sources.

oDevelop proposals and presentations for potential partners, demonstrating the value and impact of collaboration with Angaza Center.

Recruiting Applied Digital Literacy (ADL) Partner Schools

oIdentify and recruit partner schools to participate in Angaza Center's programs.

oDevelop and implement strategies to engage schools in fee-for-service partnerships.

oWork closely with the finance and program teams to ensure that partner school recruitment aligns with revenue goals and program objectives.

oBuild and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions to foster long-term collaboration and support.

Program Support and Collaboration

oCollaborate with program teams to identify needs and opportunities for partnership support.

oEnsure that partnership activities are integrated into program planning and implementation.

oSupport program teams in managing relationships with partners and ensuring successful project execution.

Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy

oRepresent Angaza Center at conferences, meetings, and events to raise awareness and build networks.

oAdvocate for Angaza Center's mission and initiatives with key stakeholders and decision-makers.

oDevelop and implement advocacy strategies to influence policy and funding decisions.

Monitoring and Evaluation

oDevelop metrics and systems to track the impact and effectiveness of partnerships.

oProvide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on partnership activities and outcomes.

oUse data and feedback to continuously improve partnership strategies and approaches.

Qualifications

•Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, International Relations, Development Studies, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

•Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or related roles, preferably within the nonprofit sector.

•Skills:

oProven track record of securing and managing high-value partnerships.

oStrong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

oExcellent communication and presentation skills.

oAbility to think strategically and manage multiple priorities.

oFamiliarity with the African development landscape and key stakeholders.

oStrong organizational and project management skills.

oExperience in the education sector and understanding of school partnerships is a plus.
